The salon question

Will quantum computers really break cryptocurrency? Professor Chang Ching-Ray begins with Shor's algorithm and explains why sufficiently capable quantum computers could undermine widely used public-key systems—and why finance, digital signatures, identity, and virtual assets must prepare for post-quantum security.

Time and venue

Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Doors open at 19:00 and the program runs from 19:30 to 21:30 at CellWine Saloon, B1, No. 2, Section 2, Xinsheng South Road, Da'an District, Taipei. The evening includes a talk and an extended Q&A.

Tickets and early bird

As of September 5, 2026, the registration form was accepting responses and bank transfer was available. TAQCIT member tickets are NT$1,200. Early-bird tickets are NT$1,200 from August 31 at 12:00 through September 20 at 23:59, limited to the first 15 verified seats or until sold out; general tickets are NT$1,500 from September 21. The public form does not show remaining early-bird seats or an overall registration deadline. Eligibility follows transfer time and TAQCIT's verification.

Complete your registration

Pay for the selected ticket first, then submit the transfer date, amount, and final five digits of the remitting account in the registration form. Registration is complete and the seat is formally reserved only after TAQCIT verifies receipt.

TAQCIT will not use a personal account to announce a last-minute account change or ask for an online-banking password, SMS verification code, or full card details.
