The Taiwan Association of Quantum Computation and Information Technology (TAQCIT), also referred to as the Taiwan Quantum Association, is a nonprofit, cross-sector professional association. Under its approved bylaws, TAQCIT promotes quantum computing, quantum information, and quantum technology, brings communities together, and advances Taiwan’s quantum-computing hardware and software capabilities.
TAQCIT plans to work through research exchange, industry–academia collaboration, talent development, international cooperation, and public-policy dialogue. The intended technical and industrial scope includes quantum computing, communications, sensing, semiconductors, cryogenics, photonics, cybersecurity, software, and systems integration. Each area will advance in stages as annual decisions, partnerships, and resources permit.
Alongside technology and industry, TAQCIT also plans to use education, philosophy, cultural translation, and technology-governance dialogue to examine AI, digital public life, ethics, and democratic practice. These are development directions or project concepts rather than substitutes for the association’s legal purpose; items not yet launched will be announced only after confirmation.
TAQCIT has accumulated public outcomes through annual meetings, forums, and interdisciplinary activities. Seminars, workshops, industry exchange, research and policy papers, and demonstrative projects will be developed in stages under future annual plans. As verifiable outcomes grow, TAQCIT aims to become a sustainable Taiwan-based civil-society gateway to the global quantum ecosystem.
